Three Facebook Status Ninja Moves That Work

Posting facts or news about your cause will often get “likes” but very few comments. The simple reason is that, although your fans like what your posting, they have nothing to add.

Three powerful ways to get comments on your Facebook Page

Questions inherently beg to be answered. And on Facebook, easy questions get quick answers.

Here are three ways to use questions to increase the comments on your Facebook Page:

  1. Preference questions“Do you prefer multiple choice questions or essay-style questions?” Make questions easier to answer by giving your fans a choice between two answers.
  2. Directly human questions“What’s your way of renewing your outlook on life?” Your Facebook fans have one thing in common: The human experiences they all share. Questions that appeal to their humanity will get more answers than you’d expect. Especially if they resonate with their personal (but private) reasons for supporting your cause.
  3. Fill in the blank questions“Fill in the blank: My favorite baseball team is ______.” Questions that only require you to fill in the blank can be fun and may even become a meme.
