Five reasons to manage Facebook from your iPhone

If you’re like me, you often catch inspiration when your away from your computer. Like when you’re going for a walk, or having coffee with a friend.

Facebook Page admins have the ability to send updates via text messages or email.

Here are five reasons to manage Facebook from your cell

1. There’s an app for that

If you’re an iPhone user (I am), there are a few apps that you can use for Facebook. These allow you to do things you could never do from your laptop.

  • Facebook – Made by Facebook. Pretty much does everything you’d want to do with Facebook, except edit your Page, send updates or view Insights.
  • LuckyCal – LuckyCal access your social graph and find friends who are nearby. The app will also suggest events happening in the area that match your interests. Because the app uses the iPhone 3.0 GPS, you never need to tell it where you are.
  • iNapkin – iNapkin is a paid app ($2.99) that allows you to sketch out ideas or notes that you can share with your Facebook friends. Very useful for planning events or working on your latest scam collaboration.

2. Update fans with videos

Using the email update function of your Page, simply attach a video to an email within your cell. A few minutes after it’s sent, it will be posted to your Facebook Page Wall. If you’re at a conference, you can update fans who couldn’t be there with the latest news.

3.Update fans with Photos

This is even easier to do that videos. And the updates are almost instant.

4. Take advantage of down times

Being able to update your Page with photos, videos and text from your cell means better time management. For example, if you’re waiting for a bus, or sitting in your psychotherapists’s waiting room, you can update your Page.
