How to convert a Facebook Profile into a Facebook Page
Facebook is now allowing organizations that have been using Facebook Profiles the ability to convert their Profile into a Page.
This is huge for nonprofits who are starting to top out at 5,000 friends (the limit for profiles). This also eliminates the need for nonprofits to promote their new Page to friends of the Profile (which can take a lot of time and effort). Finally, this eliminates the chance of Facebook taking away an org’s access to the profile due to violations of Facebook’s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities.
How to convert your Profile to a Page
Before you convert your profile to a Page, make sure you save any important content first. The only thing you’ll bring over to the Page will be your main image and your friends (who will become fans of the new Page).
