Kissmetrics created this awesome infographic that highlights: Photos get the most comments, likes and shares (duh). Short text updates work best (less than 80 characters). Asking questions in a post doubles comments. Peaks for posting are 11am, 3pm and 8pm. Posting twice a day increases engagement by 40%.

For a while now, Facebook users have had the ability to “Share” or repost news feed updates, but now they can view how many times an update has been shared, along with details that are available in a popup window (View all shares). No doubt, Facebook will soon include this metric within Facebook Insights.
