Three ways to block bad comments and cuss words on your nonprofit’s Facebook Page
Facebook user can now post updates, and comment on or like your Page updates. And this has a lot of Page admins concerned about an increase in negative comments on their Page.
Here are three ways to deal with bad comments and cuss words on your nonprofit’s Facebook Page:
1. The Profanity Blocklist

The profanity block settings allows your to block the most commonly cuss words (the kind your mom would wash your mouth out with soap for using). You can choose “none”, “medium” or “strong” under the “Manage Permissions” tab in your Page admin panel.
2. The Moderation Blocklist

The Moderation Blocklist allows you to blacklisted keywords in a post and or a comment on your Page. These comments will automatically be marked as spam. A perfect example of this is the “R” word which would be offensive to the developmentally delayed community, but not a classical orchestra.
3. Restrict Posting Ability

Finally, you can prevent users from posting content on the wall, tagging photos, adding photos or adding videos.
Know that if you restrict posting ability, you run the risk of hindering engagement with your Page which will put a ding in your Edgerank. It would be better to develop an engagement strategy to converse with critics of your org – folks who respectfully disagree with your views.
